Impression Obsession challenge - You're invited: Join us

Hi stampers!
Welcome to another Impression Obsession challenge. This week the challenge is Invitation. I decided to make fall inspired invitation using the Holiday Gate stamp set and coordinating dies, along with Wood Grain cover-a-card background stamp.
I used Pool paper and stamped the wood grain using Sea Foam ink. I stamped the gate, wreath, pumpkins etc on Neenah white card stock using IO black ink, then colored with Chameleon Pens and color tops. I die cut them and assembled my card. I stamped the "Join us" with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. I adhered the pool panel onto white top folding card base.

Splitcoast Stampers Technique spotlight guest

Hi stampers!
Happy Wednesday! Today I have a tutorial over Splitcoast Stampers as part of the Technique Spotlight. I am showing you a Blender bleed technique.
Below are the couple cards I made and the video. I am using several Hero Arts product linked below. But my tutorial happens to coincide with the Simon Says Stamp sale on ALL Hero ARts product. So you can purchase the items I used(and then some) at 20% off  using the code HASS623, the sale is good until 9/22 11.59PM EDT!

I stamped my images using several Hero Arts shadow inks and then turned my paper over and applied the blender pen generously. The more of the colorless blending solution is applied the more bleed you achieve and you get look of faux water coloring. The pale looking image was accidentally discovered while I was working with the blender pen and noticed that as I applied the blender pen the ink bled ( seep through) on the back of my card stock panel and it looked like a stamped image that I've put velum on top for a softer look.

Watch the video below on how I made these cards :)

Happy Holidays with Concord and 9th and VIDEO

Hi everyone!
Happy Tuesday! I have simple card that is easy to mass produce, especially if you like to emboss. For me embossing is like magic. You see the powder magically transform into a shiny surface when you apply heat.

For my card I used the new Concord and 9th set Magnolia Wreath. I stamped the main wreath using Garden Skirt ink pad, The rest of the images and the 2nd layer of the wreath were stamped in Versamark ink, and embossing with Hero Arts gold embossing powder. The wreath was die cut along with rest of the elements (the banners were hand cut ;)) , assembled and adhered onto Hero Arts Kraft Layering Paper. Using gold gel pen I added little dots for more interest. To finish I adhered the panel onto white top folding note card.

Watch the video below to see how this card came to be.

I really miss you

I am not a writer, yes, I do write proposals but they are technical and to the point. But here it is, I am opening my heart to you and sharing my raw emotions.

On September 10th, 2017 the world lost a special woman, at least a woman special to me. Her name was Borka Andreeva, she was a math teacher, a mother,  a wife, a sister, a grandmother, and she was my aunt (she was my dad's sister). She was a woman with a HUGE heart. A role model how to be a wife, a mother, a sister, aunt. She gave the best hugs ever! Her love was always overflowing. Sometimes I even felt like she loved me more than my own mother. I spent days and nights with her. Her home was always open for me. She was an example for everyone. She is 99.99% the reason I love math so much!
If you ever needed anything she was always there to help. She was a great cook and she would never let you leave her house hungry.
Besides a math teacher she was a great seamstress.
No matter where she went she always brought presents for me, like I was her own daughter.
She was one of the people who made biggest impact on me through my life and set a great example. She was a true Proverbs 31 woman and wife.

She loved flowers and her favorite were tulips.
So this card is dedicated to you "tetka Borka". I really miss you and it pains me that I don't live closer to Macedonia. It pains me that I always thought I would see you one more time. That I would give you at least one more hug. It pains me that I can't be there for your funeral to say one final good-bye. I can't believe you are gone, and I don't want to.

I made this card using the Chameleon Color tops (I am taking part of Splitcoast Stampers Product focus details HERE) and couple sets from Power Poppy

Today I have another simple card for you. Truth to be told I never thought I could make a card with dies only, but these ones are really amazing and  I feel really accomplished creating cards with dies only. For today's card I used 3 dies: Snowfall, Let it Snow and European Buildings. I die cut the snowfall from Shimmery Midnight panel, and the buildings and sentiment from Dazzling Diamonds glitter paper. I adhered the snow fall piece onto slightly larger shimmer one and adhered the buildings and sentiment. Then the whole panel was adhered onto shimmer midnight card stock. Clear as a mud? You can see from the pictures how everything was layered better. My English is not cooperating tonight.

I used a piece of black shimmer card stock and die cut it, then using mounting tape adhered it to orange top folding note card. Need to mass produce Halloween cards, this is the way to go, trust me!

Concord and 9th September release, Hope Bundle and couple more STAMPtember favorite sets

Hi Stampers!
Sorry I got quiet. I spent most of the weekend sleeping and trying to get over a nastiest viral upper respiratory infection. I don't remember being so sick since before I had kids. Anyway, I am feeling little better, but now we have Irma coming our way, so GA is closed. No school, no work, MARTA canceled services, even the Urgent Care I went to yesterday they were closing at 3pm yesterday because of Irma.

On Saturday the new Concord and 9th release went live. Of course I had to find the buy it all button. I will be sharing projects as soon as my order arrives. But here are couple favorites.

And finally a Thanks turnabout stamp!

And of course, but it all bundle at discounted price *my favorite lol

And that's not all, because Concord and 9th are awesome like that, through the month of September they are donating 100% profits from the Hope Bundle below to Hurricane Harvey victims/needs

And now two new favorite STAMPtember sets: Concord and 9th and Neat and Tangled. They never cease to amaze me!

Impression Obsession Fall/Winder Die Hop Day #1

Welcome to the Impression Obsession 2017 Fall/Winter Die Hop!

Today's card, well, I tried to keep it simple. We have Irma coming our way today and I've been sick with some nasty viral upper respiratory infection.
I die cut the bells and sentiment from gold foil card stock. Before I did that I applied Stick it adhesive on the back, so it's easier to adhere these intricate elements onto my card. Once die cut and adhered to my panel. I put my panel between two pieces of white printer paper and ran it through my big shot. This allowed that extra shine from the foil paper to disappear and give more flattened look to my panel. I adhered it using mounting tape to white top folding card and added some gold thread. Come back tomorrow for more inspiration ;)

Hero Arts: Nuts about you

Hi Stampers!

Happy Friday! Since I posted yesterday the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero kit sold out. However the add ons are still available and I have 2 cards for you today using the Color Layering Squirrel.
For my first card I used the supporting images (3 leaves) to stamp my background. I used Lime Green, Lemon Yellow, Butterbar, Orange Soda and Just Rust inks. Next I stamped the sentiment on black card stock using Versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder, then die cut it using the oval infinity dies. I assembled my card and added few black Nuvo Crystal drops to finish it off.

For my 2nd card I actually used the squirrel. I had one stamped image from the other day so I decided to use it (for it I used Autumn ombre ink, Cup O'Joe and Cocoa). I masked circle on the left side of my snow panel and sponged with Soft Pool, Tide Pool and Antiqua shadow inks. Stamped the sentiment and assembled my card. I added some twine and clear Nuvo crystal drops.
Hope you feel inspired today to create something.

All supplies are listed at the bottom of this post!
